During the enhanced community quarantine, it's been a month already since the government took action in stopping everything, especially our preparations for the back-to-basics for the 7th year of the organization in its mission to teach, influence and motivate future responsible citizens of the country in part of our nation-building efforts.

What did I really miss about the youth program?

As of tonight, we are preparing for the upgrading of the ticketing system for our recital show, because the life of the program is the production budget, knowing that this organization is non-profitable and a charitable ones, we don't have permanent sources of income to sustain our operations. We only rely on the good hands of our stakeholders and sponsors who had vested their trust and love on what we are doing, so we do plan to secure our ticket sales and marketing plans for us to become sustainable and at the same time, we can help our partner schools raise reasonable funds for their priority development projects.

As they say, transparency is the key to a good and prosperous government.

and what do I really miss about the program? Here I will enumerate things that I personally miss as the program head of the organization.

SATURDAY PRACTICES.

Yes, we are having whole-day and weekend rehearsals, in line of the preparation for our recital show, the excitement of building individual pieces of puzzle takes time, and as we bond together to achieve our common goal, we are constantly bonding with each other and developing our social skills from Day 1 until the end of the recital show.

What's important is the bonding we cherished with each other during the times of the preparation.

DELEGATION of TASKS.

What I personally enjoy is the brainstorming with my production heads every time we will finish practicing. We do assess what we can do for the next weekend to become more productive, and what problems we see during our rehearsals/workshops/activities.

There are different things that I usually enjoy, but allow me to mention a few.

YFP Tanghal-Dangal 2019 v.2 (My 4 week camping and housing inside the school)

Thanks to the Doña Juana Chioco National High School for the fun experience for letting me stay in the school for 4 weeks. The experience and bonding is overwhelming. There would come a time during Sundays that I am washing my clothes myself inside the school, doing tours around the houses of the artists in Lupao, because the transportation is not accessible there, so I need to move in the school for me to focus on the training sessions I am conducting with the school.

The bonding and everything I've experienced completes my year in Tanghal-Dangal, there would come a time that I will sleep on the cold floor of the training area of the theater production, our production manager, Ghie, will bring us food because we don't have enough money to spend for our daily meals, I have Eros staying with me during my camping days in the TVL 12 Building. Those days are so tiring and stressful but I am cherishing those moments, because I've felt the freedom to do everything within my scope.

After the show, it's time to finally leave the area because I need to go home already. My feet and body feels very sad at that moment because everything is so memorable and so fun, but as I put my feet forward in facing another phase of my life, I am thankful to the Tanghal-Dangal Production Team of Doña Juana, because on that partner school, I experienced many things that I am very grateful, those talented student-recitalists, they are precious gems in the sky in their talents God gave them.

I know that everything would be missed, and I hope they feel the same.

The difference in Cabiao National High School is that, during the time of the preparations for the show, I am only the one who are doing everything, because our coordinator told the students to get some rest, which I think they can't manage to do that because of the excitement, but I realized that Ma'am Shirley is correct all along, the recitalists need some rest before the show proper.

Yes. Everything will change on the next season of our youth development program. I will let my recitalists rest a night before the show, and me too, I need some rest before the show. The rehearsals after the last Saturday of the rehearsals are much lighter, and will mainly focus on the technical and backstage aspects of the show.

and yes, if we will be able to go back to the Nueva Ecija Convention Center this upcoming school year, I will have our technical run at the afternoon before the show, and some minor adjustments in the technical and other event elements in the evening, then will finally prepare 3 hours before the first show.

Yes ---- I know that everything's now being prepared, by paper and by experience.

I can't wait to finally stage our featured theatrical piece on our first year in the rebranded YFP Dulaang Magayon!
