“Sa Anino ng Bukang-Liwayway”

A Collaborative Theatrical Play by the YFP Nueva Ecija, YFP Nampicuan Youth Group and Nampicuan National High School


The second collaborative workshop (2nd Intensive Acting, Characterization and Theatrical Productions Workshop) was been conducted by the YFP in continuation of their passion to being youth development activities across the whole province of Nueva Ecija especially in the farthest locations of the province. The project has been welcomed by then, Principal II of the Nampicuan NHS, Mr. Pepito P. Marzan, Jr. and the workshop has been attended by 29 participants of the Nampicuan NHS. The rehearsals started from first week of September, 2016 up to last week of November, 2016 at Nampicuan NHS, the rehearsals are scheduled from 8 o’ clock in the morning to 5 o’ clock in the afternoon, every Saturday.



The play has been performed last December 1, 2016 at Nampicuan Muncipal Gymnasium in cooperation of the Local Government of Nampicuan, Nueva Ecija. The event has been attended by the school principal, faculty, staff, students, some of the municipal councilors, and the municipal mayor himself, Mr. Victor M. Badar.


The performance has been participated by 17 participants, 15 coming from Nampicuan NHS and 2 coming from the Youth for Peace Movement – Nueva Ecija.




The said theatrical show had been divided into two separate adapted stage plays, “The Door” written by Eileen Maglanque and “Trabaho Soliloquies” by Ned Trespeces. More than 1,500 participants spectate the said theatrical show and has been considered a municipal-wide activity involving different schools in DepEd Nampicuan District alone. There were two sets of the show, the 5 pm and the 7 pm theatrical show.




After the gala show, the theatrical play had been concluded in serving the certificates of participation to the actors themselves, awarded by the municipal mayor, Hon. Victor Badar & the municipal administrator, Remedios Badar.


The mayor said that this event must be conducted again in the same manner as the Youth for Peace initiated the said event.


The Atomix Mobile System of the Municipality of Paniqui, Province of Tarlac caters the technical services the theatrical production needed.
