Collaborating for the third time with the Cabiao National High School and Cabiao National High School MAPEH Department in a full theatrical-concert type with upgraded state-of-the-art technical and production design, the YFP Nueva Ecija have staged its most expensive and most technically-able theatrical production starting last July 19, 2019 in an auditions for roles and production staff that will comprise the 2019 Theatrical Batch of Tanghal-Dangal Recitalists.

77 auditionees from the 5 top sections of the 1st bracket successfully auditioned for the theatrical show. 31 of which passed the initial screenings and undergone their 8-week acting workshops and preparations which includes the basic acting workshop and the advanced acting workshop (for the first time).

This theatrical production is the first LIVE THEATRICAL PERFORMANCE in the history of Cabiao National High School and second of the whole Tanghal-Dangal 2019. “Modosu” is derived from a Japanese term which means to “return/put back where you got it from”.

The story revolves around the unresolved past of the 5 high schoolmates namely Patricia, John Michael, Joshua, Regina Mae and Honey which erupts again on their grand alumni homecoming. This story illustrates the bad effects of “bullying” not only from the peer-to-peer situations but of the teacher-student relationships.

The prerogative that bullying in all forms and of all ages is not beneficial to the great harmony that must be established during the adolescent years of an individual, which tends to develop within its environment for which a certain individual experiences different pressing factors that need to be guided upon by the adults to ensure proper and good development on the individual himself/herself. Psychologically, the theatrical play depicts good and bad psychological effects of interfering with the norms of peer-to-peer relationships and how educators handle these situations without compromising the growth potential of a teenager in his/her adolescent years.

Unfortunately, this theatrical show didn’t surpass the allotted quota and produced only 1,776 spectators on the whole theatrical period of YFP Tanghal-Dangal 2019.

Despite the challenges of the show, the theatrical production have reached its most extravagant production on the 5 years of existence of YFP Tanghal-Dangal.

The stakeholders that supported the show are the following, Ferdinand “Dondon” Sangalang of Don-don Photo and Video Services of Nampicuan, Nueva Ecija, for the 3rd time, provided the video services of the theatrical show; Mr. Eugenio “Henie” Lopez, for the first time, of the Code One Professional Lights and Sounds, provided the technical supplies of the theatrical show, which has a major contribution to the upgraded theatrical production.

This theatrical production & preparations has a training duration of 8 weeks from the start of the basic acting workshop up to the show proper.

The theatrical company Youth for Peace Movement – Nueva Ecija expects that the Cabiao National High School can collaborate again for the YFP Tanghal-Dangal 2019 version 2.0 to give way to the other artists and at the same time, give chances to the students who wanted to see another showcase of talents and a much awaited theatrical piece that will show how developed Cabiao National High School in terms of theatrical and performing arts as a whole.

Here is the official full length video of the theatrical play "Modosu" as officially released in the official media provider of YFP Nueva Ecija, Prestige Glam Multimedia, in their official Youtube channel.
