A YFP Nueva Ecija & 7CMO Battalion, 7th Infantry Division, Philippine Army Joint Theatrical Play

Initiated by YFP Founder and Chairperson, Joseph Edralin Lewis DC. Pablo & 7CMO Battalion Commander, Colonel Wilfredo M Villahermosa INF (GSC) PA, the Youth for Peace Movement Nueva Ecija through its chairperson is mandated to conduct a theatrical play that will mold the minds of the youth in dealing with the social impact of youth peer pressure, teenage pregnancy and other military disciplinary values, this theatrical play is created through the cooperation of the Malacañang National High School in Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija, through the 1st Comprehensive Acting – Multimedia Workshop that is held at the Bayanihan Center inside the Fort Ramon Magsaysay.

The workshop was done last November 21-22, 2015 and attended by different students of Malacañang NHS, YFP Nueva Ecija officers and members, and 7CMO personnel of the Phil. Army.

The Theatrical Workshop was followed by an audition for roles on the theatrical script last January 9, 2016 at the Bayanihan Center. The main roles and positions are being selected first before going to the rehearsal proper. The rehearsals took 6-8 weeks before the final performance. The 3 ½ hour theatrical show depicts the life of Elaine Trinidad and her adventures as a rebel teenager, starting from her parents up to becoming a national rebel in joining the New People’s Army (NPA), and how she managed to get out through the help of the kindhearted Philippine Army Enlisted Personnel and Officers.

A total of 700 participants and spectators watched the theatrical show that was conducted in a full-production format courtesy of the Nueva Ecija Provincial Government through Gov. Aurelio “Oyie” M. Umali. The show has been watched by the students of Palayan City National High School, Malacanang National High School, Eduardo L. Joson Memorial College & Bicos National High School.

The theatrical play was staged in Nueva Ecija Convention Center last February 26, 2016, and supplied by the state-of-the-art technical equipment that made the theatrical show astounding & elegant by Engr. Armando E. Miranda of the Wavesound Productions and Entertainment.
